Delicous Badami Paneer

    It is the festive time of the year and with Diwali just knocking at your door you might like to serve something delectably delicious to your family and guests. Here is an awesome recipe of fresh and soft paneer cubes in scrumptious almost based gravy.

    • Paneer or Cottage Cheese cut into cubes of ½“each - ¾ cup
    • Tomato Puree - ¼ cup
    • Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
    • Garam Masala - ¼ tsp
    • Cumin Seeds Powder - ¼ tsp
    • Coriander Powder - ¼ tsp
    • Fresh cream - 1tbsp
    • Sugar - 1 tsp
    • Oil - 3 tbsp
    • Salt to taste.
    • For smooth paste
    • 10 Almonds
    • 2 whole dry Kashmiri red chilies
    • ¼ cup of roughly chopped onions
    • 12 mm piece of ginger
    • ½ tsp roughly chopped garlic
    • For garnish
    • ½ tbsp. ginger chopped in julliennes
    • ½ tbsp. chopped coriander


    1. Take a microwave plate and grease it with 1 tsp of oil.
    2. Add paneer, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt to taste to the plate and mix it well. Microwave the contents on high for 40 seconds and then keep it aside.
    3. Combine the remaining oil and the almond paste in a different microwave proof bowl. Cover it with a lid and microwave the same for 3 minutes. Do not forget to stir the contents after 1½ minutes.
    4. Add tomato puree, chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt to the mixture and mix it well. Microwave it again on high for another 2 minutes.
    5. Then add to the mixture the paneer. Cream and sugar and microwave it on high for 1 minute.
    6. Garnish it with ginger and coriander and serve it hot.


    I have tried this recipe at home and believe me the taste is heavenly delicous!
