About this recipe:Cheese and veggie burgers are one of the most common and popular burgers around. It tastes awesome and serves befittingly to gratify the urge of your taste buds and appetite. Here is an easy to cook recipe of cheese veggie burger that you can very easily cook in your home.
White flour or maida ½ cup (dissolve it in ¾ cup of water)
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
For Chilli & Mayo Spread
Chilli sauce 2 tbsp
Mayonnaise 4 tbsp
Finely chopped garlic 1 tsp
Dried oregano 1 tsp
For Salad Topping
Bell Peppers (red, yellow and green) 1 cup in juliennes (sliced)
Butter 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper powder
For making the patty to go inside your burger first take a non stick pan
Heat the oil in a nonstick pan and sauté in it the onions for half a minute at medium flame.
Then add all the vegetables mentioned in the recipe, cover it with a lid and cook for another 10 minutes until the vegetables are cooked. Stir the vegetables occasionally and you can also sprinkle water to the vegetables to avoid them from burning.
Add one by one the chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to the vegetables and stir it for some time on medium flame.
Add to the vegetables plain flour and sauté it from another 2 minutes. Remember to stir the vegetables continuously.
While the mixture is still hot, mash the vegetable to a coarse mixture using a potato masher.
Now keep aside the mixture until it cools down.
Once it is cooled down to the room temperature divide it into 4 equal portions and give it the shape of a patty.
Dip each patty in the white flour then roll it in the bread crumb.
Take a kadhai and deep fry each patty until it is golden brown.
For Chilli Mayo Spread Combine all the ingredients mentioned in a bowl and keep it aside.
For the Salad take a microwave bowl. Microwave the oil in it for a minute.
Add the bell peppers or colored capsicum to the bowl and microwave them for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add salt to taste and freshly powdered pepper.
Remove the bell peppers from the microwave and keep it aside.
Add half of the chilli mayo spread and mix well.
Divide the salad in 4 equal portions.
For the final step cut each burger bread horizontally into two. Apply butter to the bread inside each of the half. Microwave the bread for 30 seconds in the microwave grill.
Apply the mayo spread on each of the buttered bun.
Place the lower half of the bread in a clean and dry place and then place a lettuce or cabbage leaf on top of it.
Follow it with the patties, cheese slice and the stir fried vegetables.
Cover it with the other slice of the burger bun with the buttered side facing down and press it slightly.
Microwave the same for 30 seconds.
Yummy and delicious burger is ready to be served.
I prefer making my burgers without sauce but if you want a tangy flavor for your burger you can add it to your recipe.
