Bread Pakora( Kids tiffin recipe)

    Bread Pakora is a fried snack .Bread Pakoras are created by taking Main ingredients such as bread and dipping them in a batter of gram flour and then deep-frying them.Bread pakoda is yummy and healthy tiffin option. kids enjoy there tiffin pack with bread pakoda and tomato sauce.Prep Time: 30 min to 1 hour Cook Time: Under 15 min Serves: 2 people Category : Snacks

    • Gram flour (Besan) 1 cup
    • Bread (White/ brown) 4 slice
    • Oil (for deep fry)
    • Cumin Seed (Jeera) 1/2 tsp
    • Dry Mango powder (Amchoor) 1/2 tsp
    • Turmeric powder (Haldi) 1tsp
    • Onion Chopped (Pyaj) 1 medium
    • Potatoes (Aloo) 2 medium
    • Peas (Matar) (Optional) 1/2 cup
    • Paneer (Small cubs) 1/2 cup
    • Salt to taste
    • Red chilli (Option if kids like) 1/2 tsp
    • Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
    • Carom seeds(Ajwain) 1/2 tsp


    1. Peel the boiled potatoes. Mash the potatoes keep aside.
    2. Take a kadai add oil when oil heat then add cumin seed let it crackle.
    3. Add chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
    4. Then add turmeric powder and red chili powder (if kids like ).
    5. Add Mashed potatoes, paneer cubes and green peas.
    6. Add Salt garam masala and dry mango powder.
    7. Keep bread pakoda stuffing aside.
    8. Now make Pakoda batter take a bowl add gram flour ,salt, turmeric powder, carom seed and enough water the batter should not be very thick nor too thin.
    9. Spread a portion of potato mixture on each of two bread slices, cover them with the remaining bread slices and press gently. On your cutting board, slice the bread into triangle or rectangle slices.
    10. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, dip the bread sandwiches in the batter and gently slide into the hot oil and deep fry on medium heat till golden brown.
    11. Drain on absorbent paper. and pack these bread pagodas in Tiffin with tomato sauce.
