About this recipe:
This is a very simple recipe and can be a late night snack or another option for pizza lovers. You can make the toppings fresh or reuse leftovers of chicken or mix veg.
Small portions of cauliflower, french beans, carrot, potato(optional), peppers(capsicum)
Frozen sweet corn, baby corn, mushroom
Egg / Boneless chicken(shredded)
Bread slices (multigrain/wheat/sandwich/sweet)
Cheese slices/grated cheese & Cheese spread
Salt to taste
Ground pepper, oregano(can use the oregano packets available with any of the pizza houses)
butter for adding grease to skillet or frying pan
Olive Oil for cooking
- Use any or all the ingredients and cook them. It needs to be dry and all the ingredients should be cooked. Add pepper and oregano as per taste to the mix.
- Toast the bread slices and use cheese spread on them, if you want your pizza to be cheesy
- Put the mix prepared in step 1 and add a slice of cheese on top or add grated cheese.
- Butter the skillet/frying pan and place the bread slices and cover the vessel for a 1-2 mins or till the top layer cheese starts to melt
- Serve them with ketchup
Cooking the bread on stove, will make the base very crunchy. You can heat the bread slices in microwave for 20-30 seconds to avoid making the base crunchy.
