About this recipe: This soya and sesame dipping sauce is great for Vietnamese or Chinese spring rolls, tandoori pork or chicken.


Makes: 18 

  • 250ml distilled cider vinegar
  • 250ml soya sauce
  • 125ml vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon til (sesame) oil
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried crushed chillies
  • 1 pinch ground Kashmiri Mirch or cayenne pepper

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together vinegar, soy sauce, vegetable oil, sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds, crushed chillies and cayenne pepper. Allow the mixture to stand at room temperature 1 hour before serving.


Try using rice vinegar for a more authentic taste.
