Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream in a Can

    Simply shake strawberries, sugar and cream into soft ice cream that's healthy, ready in 10 minutes and fun to make. A great family activity with a sweet reward at the end. You may use plastic cans or resealable plastic bags.

    Serves: 1 

    • 250ml cream
    • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 4 tablespoons chopped fresh strawberries
    • 4 scoops ice cubes
    • 4 tablespoons salt

    1. Combine the cream, sugar, vanilla and strawberries in a litre plastic can with a tight lid. Shake can to combine contents. Now, take another large plastic can and fill it with ice and salt. Put the small can inside it and close its lid.
    2. Shake continuously, until the contents of the small can thicken into soft ice cream, 5 to 10 minutes. Serve!
    3. Note: I like adding crushed chocolate biscuits before shaking for a wonderful variation.
