Quick prawns fried rice

    This is yummy prawns fried rice with some crunchy veggies to go. Its quick, tasty and on the go.

    • 200 grams small prawns
    • 100 grams cabbage
    • 4 -5 spring onions
    • 1 capsicum
    • left over cold rice around 300 grams
    • ginger, garlic & chillies
    • sczehwan sauce, soya sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar
    • oil
    • salt pepper to taste
    • 2 eggs


    1. Finely chop ginger, garlic & chillies and set aside
    2. Finely chop cabbage, spring onions & capsicum and set aside
    3. Beat eggs in a bowl, add a pinch of salt. Make an omlet and cut in fine pieces and set aside
    4. Now in a kadhai add oil & little less than half of chopped ginger, garlic & chillies
    5. Now add all chopped vegetables. Season with some salt & pepper. Keep the veggie mix aside
    6. In same kadhai add oil , add ginger, garlic & chilli mix and then add prawns. Season with salt & pepper. Let it cook for few minutes. When the juices are dry it means prawns is cooked
    7. Seperate cold rice and add it to the kadhai & let the rice fry. Mix well
    8. After 2-3 minutes. Add soya sauce, vinegar, chilli sauce, schewan sauce and salt and mix well
    9. Also add veggie mix and chopped omlet. Mix well & adjust sauces & salt for taste
