About this recipe: Potato baked with bacon, cream and rosemary. Serve with a meat curry and salad.


Makes: 8 side dish portions

  • 600g celeriac or potato
  • 225g bacon
  • 500g potatoes, peeled and sliced approx 2mm thick
  • 300ml cream
  • 225g grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 sprig rosemary

  1. Grill bacon under medium grill for 10 minutes then slice into strips.
  2. Interleave the celeriac/potatoes and a third of the grated cheese in a glass dish.
  3. Lay most of the bacon (you need to keep some for garnishing) on top and pour over cream. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the top and add rosemary. Place in the centre of a preheated oven for 40 mins at 190 C.
  4. When cooked garnish with bacon and serve.
