However, before proceeding, make sure you have the right kind of microwavable plate so that your effort does not go in vain.
A round microwavable plate, preferably 20 cm (round)
Chocolate chips (as required)
Mixing is the most important part of making a cake. So, follow the instructions carefully.
Take some oil in your hand and line the interior of the microwavable plate with it. This is done to make the surface as smooth as possible so that the ingredients mix well and do not stick to the body.
Mix the flour, sugar, oil, baking soda, baking powder, water, salt in the microwave plate and start beating it with a wooden beater or with your hand. Keep on doing it unless you find the mixture well blended.
Add the cocoa powder and mix it once again. Keep on beating it until the mixture becomes smooth.
Break and add the eggs, one at a time and blend it with the beater. Beat it for 5 minutes.
Add the chocolate chips one by one randomly.
Microwaving the Cake
Once this is done, it’s time to microwave it. However, before putting it into the microwave, pre-heat the appliance for 5 minutes. Then put the microwavable plate inside and turn the timer to 5 minutes. The baking time will vary according to the microwave power, the plate used and the density of the mixture. So, it is suggested to keep a close eye on it, to prevent overheating.
You can check it at regular intervals and heat it accordingly. To get the best results, buy microwavable plates, as it plays an important role in proper baking of the cake. Once finished, take out the plate, put icing on it and serve.
