Aval payasam (kheer)

    Ingredients

    • 150 gms aval
    • 150 gms jaggery
    • 2 cardamoms
    • 1 cup milk
    • 3-4 cashewnuts
    • 2 1/2 cups water
    • pinch of salt

    Directions

    1. soak aval for 2 minutes.
    2. drain it and blend it for 3 seconds .
    3. boil water and add little water to dilute aval and add to the boiling water.
    4. dilute jaggery on water and remove impurities.
    5. pour jaggery into boiling water.
    6. keep in sim to bring it to boiled stage.
    7. add a pinch of salt for taste.
    8. finally add boiled milk, smashed cardamoms and sliced cashewnuts.
