Punjabi Chole in konkani style

    • 250gms Chole(Kabuli chana)(Soak overnight and boiled)
    • 2 onions
    • Tomato puree(approx 4-5 tomatoes)
    • 2 bay leaf,4-5 Black peppercorns,4-5 Cloves,Cumin seed,curry leaf,Cinnamon
    • Everest chole masala,red chilli powder,1 tps Haldi,Garam masala,sabji masala ,pinch of salt to taste
    • Ginger-garlic paste


    1. Remove the overnight soaked chole and boil them in cooker and add pinch of baking soda
    2. Heat pan and add 1 teaspoon of oil
    3. Add Bay leaf,peppercorns,cinnamon,clove,curry leaves,cumin seeds and let them crackle
    4. Once the Dry species start crackling ,add chopped onions and fry till they turn little brown
    5. Add ginger-garlic paste and let it fry
    6. Add tumeric powder,red chilli powder,haldi,garam masala,sabji masala,Everest chole masala and add salt to taste stir for another half minute
    7. Add tomato puree and stir for a minute
    8. Take some boiled chole and make paste of them and add in gravy
    9. Finally add chole and let it cook for five minutes
    10. Chopped some coriander for garnishing..add over chole and its DONE...!!:)
    11. Serve with jeera rice or bathure
