Vegetarian butter milk stew served in Borosil microwavable bowls

    The vegetarian butter milk stew is a healthy dish preparation that is not only tasty but provides a refreshing change to the entire dining menu. A great delight and a treat for a hearty family get- together

    • 1/4 kg of Cabbage
    • 250 ml of Sour Buttermilk
    • 8 Curry Leaves
    • 1/4 tsp of Bengal Gram Dal
    • 3 tbsp of Moong Dal
    • 1/2 tsp of Mustard Seeds
    • 2 tsp of Coconut Oil
    • 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder
    • Salt for tasting
    • 3 Dried red chillies
    • 1.75 tsp for Coriander seeds
    • 1/4 tsp of Asafoetida (Hing)
    • 1/2 tsp of Cumin seeds (Jeera)
    • 2 tbsp of Grated Coconut


    1. 1. At first, pressure-cook the moong dal.
    2. 2. Next, mix the vegetables and the cooked dal. Then you will need to heat the vegetables until they are well cooked and the dal is mushy
    3. 3. Turmeric powder and salt to be added next.
    4. 4. The coriander seeds, red chilliest and the asafetida to be fried in 1/2 tsp oil
    5. 5. Then, grind the coconut, jeera and fried items to a smooth paste.
    6. 6. Next, add it to the entire vegetable-dal mixture. Add the buttermilk along with it.
    7. 7. Boil it for 2 mins and then turn off the heat.
    8. 8. The remaining oil needs to be heated and then the mustard seeds need to be added. When they start spluttering, add the Bengal gram dal urad, and curry leaves
    9. 9. Fry till the dal turns golden and then add it to the buttermilk stew


    10. With it is all ready, serve it in elegant Borosil Microwavable glassware and enjoy the hearty meal
