About this recipe: A Traditional drink wherein almonds are blended with milk and flavored with saffron and cardamom. Chilled or hot , it makes a mouthwatering drink fit to be served and enjoyed with family and friends. It can be perfect to have at bed time as it helps sound sleep.


  • 8 Almonds, soaked overnight and peeled.
  • 4/5 strands of Kesari Saffron.
  • 1 teaspoon honey & 1 teaspoon sugar (can be substituted for all honey Or all sugar).
  • 2/3 of fat free boiled milk.
  • 1 tbsp of warm milk.
  • 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder.
  • 1/2 cup of crushed ice.


  1. Soak the saffron strands in the warm milk for about 15 minutes and keep it aside.
  2. Add the saffron milk mixture to the cup of milk along with almonds and other ingredients in the blender and blend it till frothy.
  3. Serve it in the cup along with some crushed ice.
  4. Serve it chilled or hot.


The longer the saffron soaks,the yellowish the color becomes.
