Tasha's Chicken Steak with Mushroom Garlic sauce

    Sharing one of my signature dishes. You will be surprised how easy it is to cook in an Indian Kitchen I have tried many versions of this sharing the simplest one. Watch the quick video of the recipe at https://goo.gl/7j3SPd Serves: 2 Person Cooking Time: 30 minutes Marination (optional): 1 to 12 hrs Abbreviation Tbs: Tablespoon Tsp: Teaspoon Secret Magic portion Add 2 tbs of butter garlic mash potatoes to the sauce and half a cup red wine. Serve with wine, garlic bread, stir fried veggies, Mash potatoes and you have your romantic meal ready

    Ingredients

    • Ingredients for marination of chicken steak
    • Chicken breast – 2 pieces
    • Ginger garlic paste -2 tsp
    • Garlic paste– 2 tsp
    • Worcestershire sauce – 6 tbs
    • Pepper to taste
    • Salt to taste
    • To cook Chicken steak
    • All-purpose flour – enough to coat the chicken breast
    • Salt - ½ tsp
    • Vegetable Oil – 6 to 8 tbs
    • Mushroom Garlic sauce
    • White Button Mushroom – 6 to 8 pieces
    • Garlic 6 -8 pods
    • Rosemary 1-2 tsp for seasoning.
    • BBQ sauce with honey – 2tbs American Garden BBQ Sauce with honey is used in the recipe
    • Worcestershire sauce – 3 tbs add 1 tbs extra if you are not a fan of slight sweetness. Lea & Perrins another American Garden brand is available however my personal preference is Lea & Perrins
    • Chicken Stock – 1 cube I have used Maggi chicken stock which is easily available in any super market. Fresh stock or powered stock can be used instead.
    • Water 6 tbs 2 tbs if you using Cubes + 4 tbs to dissolve Cornflour
    • Cornflour – 2tbs

    Directions

    1. Pat dry the chicken breast with a tissue or kitchen towel
    2. Make slit or poke the breast using a knife watch the video for details
    3. Smither the marination ingredients butter garlic salt pepper on the chicken breast
    4. rest for 1 to 12 hours more time the better as breast take a longer time to marinate
    5. Mix salt and pepper to the flour and spread it in a flat plate
    6. Dredge the chicken in seasoned flour
    7. Shallow fry in a flat heavy bottom pan on medium flame till golden brown
    8. Watch the video for details. keep the fried chicken it aside on a plate
    9. To the pan add some butter or oil and saute some garlic and chopped mushroom
    10. In the meanwhile make the mixture for the sauce
    11. in a bowl mix Worcestershire sauce, bbq sauce, chicken stock cube, water in a bowl
    12. In another bowl mix cornflour in 2 tbs water
    13. After the mushrooms are sauteed pour the sauce mixture to the pan cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until it bubbles
    14. add the cornflour mixture stir continuously cook till the sauce starts to thickens
    15. add the chicken breast to the sauce cook for another 10 minutes
    16. add some mash potato and red wine to enhance the sauce
    17. Serve hot with grilled veggies and garlic bread
