    Greek Lemon Chicken and Potato Bake is a delicious and nutritious continental dish that can be easily prepared at home. A festive dish, it is a perfect blend of all the Italian flavours with a zesty lemony taste that produces fabulous results each time it is served. It is usually a wholesome meal in itself but can also be served with a small portion of butter herb rice on the side. Tempting yet easy to make, you must definitely try out this recipe is you’re craving something yummy and healthy!

    Ingredients

    • For Chicken:-
    • 5 pieces of chicken legs, cleaned
    • 1 tbsp dried basil
    • 1 tbsp Dabur Hommade Lemoneez
    • 1 tbsp dried oregano
    • 400 gms fresh green beans
    • 2 minced garlic cloves
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • For Potatoes:-
    • 500 gms potatoes, diced into small pieces
    • ½ cup olive oil
    • ½ cup water
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tsp each of dried oregano and basil
    • 2-3 minced garlic cloves
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • For Garnish:-
    • ½ tsp of dried thyme

    Directions

    1. To prepare Potatoes:
    2. Mix cut and peeled potatoes in ½ cup olive oil
    3. While stirring the potatoes, add 1 tbsp Dabur Hommade Lemoneez, 1 tsp each of dried oregano and basil, 2-3 minced garlic cloves, and salt and pepper to taste, to the mix so that potatoes are well coated with the flavours
    4. Once done, keep the potatoes aside
    5. To prepare Greek Lemon Chicken and Potato Bake:-
    6. Preheat oven to 450F (250 degree C)
    7. Place the chicken pieces on the baking sheet
    8. Arrange the potatoes around the chicken pieces on the baking sheet
    9. Pour some of the mixture used to coat the potatoes over the rest of the chicken and potatoes
    10. Remember to keep some oil mix aside for later use
    11. Put the dish to bake in the preheated oven for around 15 minutes (till it turns golden brown)
    12. Once it is done, take out the dish and shake the baking sheet gently to loosen the potatoes, and put it back in the oven to bake for another 12 minutes
    13. While the chicken bakes:-
    14. Take 400 gms of fresh green beans and toss it in the oil mix that was earlier set aside
    15. Once the chicken has been baked for another 12 minutes, take it out from the oven, add the green beans mix to the tray and place it back in the oven for further baking
    16. This time, bake the dish for around 8-10 minutes or till the time the beans have become tender and the chicken looks crisp and juicy
    17. Use a fork to check the chicken
    18. Once done, take it out of the oven and leave it to cool for 5-10 minutes
    19. To Garnish:-
    20. Transfer the chicken and potatoes to a serving dish
    21. Top the dish with 4-5 thinly sliced lemons and few sprigs of Thyme as a garnish
    22. Serve hot

    Shortcut

    - You can also add 2 tsp of dried rosemary to the dish to add an extra flavour - You can serve the dish with mashed potatoes, fresh green salad & herb butter rice for an extravagant main course
