Lasun Chivda - Maharashtrian Recipes

    • 250 grams thin poha , 12-15 garlic cloves , 1/2 cups peanuts , 1/2 cup cashew nuts ,
    • 2-3 tbsp oil , 1 tsp mustard seeds , 1 tsp cumin seeds , 15 curry leaves ,
    • 5 chopped green chillies , 1/2 cup daliya , 1/4 tsp turmeric powder , Salt to taste


    1. 1) Heat a pan, add poha and roast till they turn crisp.
    2. 2) Remove from flame and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
    3. 3) Now heat oil, add ground nut, cashewnuts one by one and remove form oil and keep aside.
    4. 4) For tempering, heat oil, add sliced garlic and fry till golden and crisp.
    5. 5) Add mustard seeds, chopped green chilies, curry leaves, daliya, one at a time and turmeric powder.
    6. 6) Add fried ground nut, cashewnuts and poha to tempering. Add salt, mix well.
    7. 7) Once completely cool, store in an airtight container.
