About this recipe: Just four ingredients and a couple hours make this classic mousse. Yummmmy!

Quarter Past Three

Serves: 6 

  • 500ml whipping cream
  • 300g dark or plain chocolate
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar

  1. Whip the cream until it is firm. Lightly beat the icing sugar into the cream.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
  3. Beat the two eggs into the melted chocolate. This will 'cook' the eggs so this recipe is suitable for children as well.
  4. Fold the chocolate mix into the whipped cream.
  5. Chill for a few hours, it will set and become very firm. Serve with strawberries.
