Banana Fritters | Raw Banana Pakora - Maharashtrian Recipes

    • 1 ) 2 Medium sized Green Banana 2) 1 cup chickpea flour 3) 1 tsp rice flour 4) Turmeric Powder 5) ½ tsp red chilli powder
    • 6) Pinch of baking soda 7) Salt as per taste 8) Oil for deep frying


    1. Peel Banana and cut into thin slices. Soak them in salt water for 5-10 minutes.
    2. Meanwhile, mix all ingredients like chickpea flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and baking powder.
    3. Add enough water to make the batter. The batter should neither be very thick nor too runny in consistency. Keep on stirring the batter so the lumps cannot be formed.
    4. Heat oil in Pan for deep frying. Drain water from Banana slices. Dip the banana slices into the prepared batter
    5. Deep fry them in hot oil till it turn into light brown colour.
    6. Serve hot with chutney.
