How to Make Ginger Garlic Green Beans Recipe

    Green beans are generally used in a lot of Chinese and Thai dishes and this recipe is a perfect blend of both these flavours. Definitely a go-to-recipe when you have to make something quick and tasty, without spending much time in the kitchen. It is best served as a side dish with pork roast and garlic bread. Now, who would want to say no to that!

    • 500 grams of fresh green beans
    • 1 tsp Dabur Hommade Ginger paste
    • 1 tsp Dabur Hommade Garlic paste
    • 1 tsp Dabur Hommade Ginger Garlic paste
    • 5-7 cups of chicken broth
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • Red pepper flakes to taste
    • Sea salt and pepper to taste
    • 10-12 cleaned and finely cut pieces of chicken
    • 2 medium-sized diced carrots
    • 2 finely chopped onions
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 2 celery ribs with leaves (cut into chunks)
    • ½ tsp of dried and crushed rosemary
    • ½ tsp of dried thyme
    • 7-9 peppercorns (black pepper)
    • 1 litre cold water


    1. To prepare Chicken Broth:
    2. Place all the ingredients mentioned above (for chicken broth) in a pan
    3. Slowly bring the ingredients to a boil and then reduce the heat
    4. Simmer the concoction, uncovered, for 3-4 hours. Skim all the foam from time to time to get clear broth at the end of the process
    5. Remove all the chicken pieces from the broth and separate the chicken from the bones. Discard the bones and put the chicken back into the broth
    6. After few minutes, strain the broth and season it with salt and pepper as per taste
    7. You can refrigerate this broth for almost a moth and use it to make soups and other gravy recipes as well
    8. To prepare Ginger Garlic Green beans:
    9. Wash the green beans and clean them properly to remove all the dirt and impurities
    10. Trim the ends of the beans and chop it into small pieces of 2-2 ½ inches
    11. Add 5-7 cups of the previously prepared chicken broth in a pan and bring it to boil
    12. Steam the beans in the broth for 4-5 minutes till they are tender. This will add flavour and texture to the beans and make them taste extra delicious when served
    13. Once the beans have been cooked through, drain all the additional broth from the beans and keep them aside to cool
    14. To prepare the beans:
    15. Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan
    16. Add 1 tsp ginger paste, 1 tsp garlic paste, and 1 tsp ginger garlic paste in the pan and sauté it for 2 minutes
    17. Add the steamed beans to the pan along with red pepper flakes, salt and crushed pepper as per taste
    18. Top with soy sauce and let the beans cook till they have become crispy
    19. Take the pan off the heat and transfer the beans to a serving dish
    20. Garnish with sesame seeds for extra crunch
    21. Serve while it’s still hot


    --> If serving with rice, you can add some chicken broth to the beans while frying them to add gravy. -->This dish tastes best when served with pork, chicken, or beef roast and garlic bread. --> You can also top the dish with sesame seeds.
