Should the peppercorns go in whole or do they need crushed or anything? Also, can the brandy be replaced with whiskey or left out completely?  -  06 Dec 2012  (Review from Allrecipes UK | Ireland)

Used different ingredients. I added both green and black peppercorns, which made for a nice flavour.  -  17 Apr 2009  (Review from Allrecipes UK | Ireland)
