About this recipe:
This sweet is a must during the Pooja season when Goddess Saraswati is worshiped for 10 days. This sweet is a main offering to the goddess.
100 ml Water
1/4 kg Jaggery
1 tablespoon Ghee
1/2 cup fine chopped dry coconut (khopra)
3 cups Coarsely Powdered raw rice
1/2 teaspoon Sesame seed
5 Cardamon , coarsely powdered
Cooking oil for deep frying

- Boil water. Turn off the heat and dissolve jaggery in it. Filter to take off impurities. Let cool. In a pan, add ghee and roast coconut pieces.
- Add rice to the jaggery water and stir well. Add sesame , cardamom and coconut. Stir again and let it stand for half an hour.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer. Using a round, large spoon, spoon the batter into oil and deep fry.
