    This is an easy to prepare dish which is rich in coconut flavour and devoid of spices.

    Serves: 4 

    • 50 gms Cow peas/ Lobhia
    • 250 gms Ash gourd/Petha
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 cup Water
    • 4 Green chilies split lengthwise
    • 2 cups Thick Coconut milk (First milk)
    • 1 teaspoon Coconut oil
    • 6-7 Curry leaves

    1. Cook cow peas in a pressure cooker.
    2. Add Ash gourd and salt to water and let cook in a deep pan. When done, add the cooked cow peas and green chilies to it, stir and heat until it boils.
    3. Now, lower the flame and add coconut milk. Heat for another minute and turn off the heat. Sprinkle coconut oil and curry leaves on top of Olan. Serve with steamed rice.
