About this recipe:
This is an easy to prepare dish which is rich in coconut flavour and devoid of spices.
50 gms Cow peas/ Lobhia
250 gms Ash gourd/Petha
Salt to taste
1 cup Water
4 Green chilies split lengthwise
2 cups Thick Coconut milk (First milk)
1 teaspoon Coconut oil
6-7 Curry leaves
- Cook cow peas in a pressure cooker.
- Add Ash gourd and salt to water and let cook in a deep pan. When done, add the cooked cow peas and green chilies to it, stir and heat until it boils.
- Now, lower the flame and add coconut milk. Heat for another minute and turn off the heat. Sprinkle coconut oil and curry leaves on top of Olan. Serve with steamed rice.
