Coconut mango chamanthi/ chutney
This is a dry chutney that is used in combination with rice porridge. When I was little, one good thing about being sick was that mom used to prepare this chutney to be eaten with porridge.

1 small raw mango
5 small red onions (pearl onions)
4-5 Curry leaves
4 Dried Red chilies
1/2 teaspoon Cumin
Salt to taste
- Chop the mango into fine pieces with skin intact.
- Grate coconut and peel the outer skin of onions.
- Mix all ingredients in a mixer and grind into a semi coarse mixture without adding any water. chamanthi is ready.
