Mushroom curry

    An easy to prepare and tasty, spicy mushroom curry which is perfect with steamed rice or roti

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 tablespoon Cooking Oil
    • 1 teaspoon Mustard
    • 1/4 teaspon Cumin
    • 1/4 teaspoon Fennel
    • 2 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
    • 3/4 cup Chopped onion
    • 1 teaspoon Chopped green chilies
    • 3/4 tablespoon Corriander Powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon Red chili powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    • 3/4 teaspoon garam masala
    • 1 cup Chopped tomatoes
    • Salt to taste
    • 3 cups Chopped mushroom

    1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let splutter. Add cumin,fennel, ginger garlic paste, onions and green chilies. Saute well until onion is tender.
    2. Add corriander powder, redchili powder, turmeric powder and garram masala and mix it well. Now add chopped tomatoes and salt and keep stirring for about 2 minutes.
    3. Now add mushrooms and mix well with the other ingredients. Lower the flame and cook covered for 5-10 minutes.(Do not add water. Mushroom will give out its water).
