Rajasthani Bhaang Lassi

    30 mins

This is a Holi specialty from Rajasthan. I'm from Jodhpur and Bhaang is so famous and sought after that government authorized shops sell it during the festival season.

    9 people made this

    Serves: 4

    • 1/2 cup Bhaang leaves (boiled)
    • 1 cup water
    • 2 cup lukewarm milk
    • 4 tablespoons almonds
    • 1/2 inch Ginger juice (freshly extracted)
    • 1 cup sugar

    Prep:25min  ›  Extra time:5min other  ›  Ready in:30min

    1. Grind one half of the boiled leaves into paste. Grind remaining half of the boiled leaves with almonds.
    2. Mix the pastes to 1 cup of milk. Pour the mix into a tall glass. Pour the mix into a second tall glass. Repeat this exchange of the mix several times so that essence of bhaang is infused in the milk.
    3. Strain the mix into a jug and add remaining milk. Add in water, sugar and ginger juice. Stir well. Serving suggestion: Serve in steel glass/tumbler.
