    This recipe is for those who want to eat karela, but don't like its bitter taste.

    Serves: 2 

    • 4 Karela (bitter gourd)
    • 2 tablespoons oil
    • 1 teaspoon kalongi
    • 1 teaspoon sauf
    • a pinch hing
    • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
    • 3 teaspoon dhaniya powder
    • 2 small tomato (chopped)

    1. Remove the skin and seeds from the karela. Marinate it with salt and haldi for 10 minutes. Wash the karela and chop them into small pieces.
    2. Heat oil in a pan; add kalongi, sauf and hing to it. Add the karela to the pan and fry until they're crispy.
    3. Add the remaining dry masalas and cook for a minute. Add chopped tomatoes and cook till they soften. Serve hot with chapatti or paratha.
