Methi mangodi

    A perfect combination of greens and grams. One of my favourite lunch time curies.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1/2 cup mangodi
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala (whole)
    • 1medium-sized onion (chopped)
    • 2 teaspoons garlic (finely chopped)
    • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 2 teaspoons dhaniya (coriander) powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon haldi powder
    • 1 bunch methi leaves
    • water as required

    1. Break mangodi into small pieces and fry them till they are pink in color.
    2. Heat oil in pan, put whole garam masala in it. Add onion and garlic to it and sauté it for a few seconds. Add in all the dry masalas in it and cook till oil seprates.
    3. Add fried mangodi, add half cup of water and bring it to a boil. Add methi leaves and turn off the heat. Methi will get cooked from the heat of the mangodi and curry. Serve hot with chapati!
