About this recipe: These are my fave cabbage koftas flavoured with cardamom and cinnamon. Enjoy!

Serves: 4 

  • 1/2 medium size cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 tbsp besan or flour
  • 3 tbsp Oil for frying
  • 1 medium sized onion, chopped finely
  • 1 Piece of ginger
  • 1 cardamon
  • 1 small cinanamon stick
  • 1 clove
  • 1 spoon jeera
  • 1 spoon dania
  • 2 medium sizes Tomatoes
  • salt to taste
  • sugar to taste

Prep:20min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:50min 

  1. Take the shredded cabbage in a bowl, add flour & make small round balls with the same.
  2. Deep fry the balls in oil & keep aside.
  3. In a separate pan, heat 1 tsp of oil. Add all the rest of the ingredients in the order written above. Add salt & sugar. Cook till you get a fragrant paste.
  4. Let the paste cook till the oil separates. Add little water if the paste is too thick. Switch off the flame add the koftas & cover till serving. Before serving garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
