About this recipe:This is a great soup that is light and healthy and good any time or any season. It is something my Mom always made on a Sunday before lunch. I make it atleast once a week for lunch for my kids. I keep changing the shapes of the pasta and and my kids absolutely love it.
In a thick bottomed vessel or pressure cooker put in tablespoon oil and add the bay leaf, peppercorn and cloves and let it crackle.
Then add the onions, tomatoes, chopped carrot, potatoes and tumeric and ginger and fry till the onions turn transparent. Add the cubes with 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil and add in the macaroni or pasta and cook till the pasta is tender. Or pressure cook for 8 minutes.
Serve pipping hot in bowls with toasted bread or croutons.
You can substitute the vegetables like instead of carrots you can add spinach or peas.
