About this recipe:
It is a sweet dish eaten during tea.
1/4 kg Flour
1/4 Cup Milk
1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
Water As required
A pinch of Salt
1 triangle Black /Goa Jaggery grated
1/2 cup Grated Coconut
1/2 teaspoon Cardamon powder
Oil For frying
- In a bowl mix the flour, egg, milk, essence and a pinch of salt together. Add enough water to make a thick batter and set aside.
- In another vessel, mix together cardamon, grated coconut and grated jaggery. Heat this mixture on slow flame and keep stirring till the coconut turns brown. Set the filling aside till it is cool.
- In a flat pan, put in 1/2 teaspoon of oil and spoon in a laddle of batter to make a thin flat pancake. When it bubbles flip and cook on the other side.
- When all the pancakes are made. Put in 1 tablespoon of filling in the center. Tuck in the edges and roll from top to bottom.
What will be the weight of black jagger to be used? I don't hv triangles but I hv a block of black jaggery.
