    About this recipe: Eggy bread is always popular for breakfast or brunch on the weekends, plus it's something the whole family can enjoy! But if you prefer these for dessert instead, give them a light sprinkle of icing sugar and serve with vanilla ice cream.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 egg
    • 75ml milk
    • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 4 slices bread

    1. Beat together egg, milk, cinnamon, vanilla and salt.
    2. Heat a lightly oiled frying pan or tawa over medium heat.
    3. Soak bread slices in egg mixture for 20 second on each side, or until thoroughly coated. Cook bread until both sides are lightly browned and crisp. Serve hot.
