Sunday Orange Trifle

    Swiss rolls and custard mean lots of happy faces for dessert at your table.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 jam filled Swiss roll
    • 298g tin mandarin oranges in syrup
    • 500ml custard
    • whipped cream, optional

    1. Cut Swiss roll into 8 slices. Arrange 4 slices on bottom of serving dish.
    2. Strain mandarins, reserving syrup. Pour half of the syrup over the Swiss roll, then top with half of the mandarins.
    3. Pour over half of the custard.
    4. Repeat these steps again. Chill in fridge for best results. Before serving, top with whipped cream (optional).
