Jeera Aloo (potatoes with Cumin seeds)

    This is a quick way to make potatoes. The only time consumed in this recipe is prep time with boiling the potatoes and cutting it! I actually cut the potatoes in small pieces and boil it and drain the water!

    Serves: 3 

    • 6 potatoes (medium sized)
    • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
    • 2 tsp amchoor
    • 2 tsp coriander powder
    • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
    • 2 tbsp dry mint leaves
    • 1 sprig coriander leaves
    • 4 tsp vegetable oil
    • salt to taste

    Prep:30min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:35min  ›  Ready in:1hr10min 

    1. Cut the potatoes in small pieces and boil in salt water for 30 minutes.
    2. Place the rest of the ingredients in oil ( except for coriander leaves) and let it simmer for a few minutes.
    3. Drain water from the potatoes well and add to the above.
    4. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
