It's very rich so a little goes a long way. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Great for monsoons, this is a traditional moist, densely textured cake that matures and develops over time. It will last really well for up to two weeks. Great with a cuppa coffee.

Walnuts, almonds, pecans, cherries- if you're a fan of nuts, you'll love this rich cake! Great for Christmas or to welcome autumn.

This cake is simple enough to eat with a cuppa tea, yet good enough to serve for a special occasion. It's one of my family's favourites.

This is our family recipe. It's incredibly rich, dense and moist. Fantastic for a special occasion or whenever you need a special chocolate treat.

I've used almonds instead of flour in this cake. It's rich, easy and yummy. You'll love it!

Bring a taste of traditional English carrot cake home with this great recipe. But you'll have to be patient and wait until it has cooled before serving!

This is a delicious chocolate cake for those who can't have eggs, and even for those who can! It also doesn't have milk products.

Honey in cake sounds delicious and it is! It's an old recipe and what's even better is that this cake improves with age, so feel free to bake it a few days ahead of time. Time to use that Nescafe for something other than coffee!

This is a moist banana loaf cake perfect for using up ripe bananas. I usually freeze my old bananas until I have enough for a recipe or two. Just freeze them as they are - peel and all - and thaw for an hour or so at room temperature.

Flour, milk, raisins, lemon and cardamom makes this flavourful cake that's festive enough for Christmas and nice enough to be enjoyed for breakfast or tea time.

This cake recipe is about 60 years old. Fresh, fragrant lemon helps make it really delicious.

Here's a healthy recipe that doesn't compromise on taste. Kids and adults will love this cake alike. Take care to go easy on the icing, it won't be 'low fat' anymore!

Traditional Welsh 'cakes' cooked on a griddle or bakestone (a heavy, flat iron pan, just like a tawa).
