This is a very popular and flexible dish in Bengal as it could be eaten at breakfast with luchi/poori, or with pulao or rice at dinner or lunch. It can be cooked in many different ways and this is the way I make it when I want it for breakfast to go with loochi /poori or parantha.

If you like the flavour of Besan in sweets, you will love this halwa. I often make this halwa instead of Besan ladoo or Mysore Pak. My kids gobble it up even before it has a chance to cool down.

This is an innovative recipe of mine. Generally everyone throws away cauliflower stems but they are the main ingredient here. And when my family members and friends tasted it they were so much amazed! It became their favourite. It is not very spicy and tastes excellent with rice, dosa and upma.

This basic mango bread uses milk powder instead of eggs. You can even use any leftover baby formula powder in its place. This bread is delicious when served hot out of the oven, but can be kept for 2 to 3 days.

I don’t have sweet tooth. But there is something about Genasale that I end up having more and more when ever it’s made at home. My granny prepares this for me whenever I visit her. So it makes it more closer to my heart. As if she has got it in her gene, my mom too makes ultimate genasale. So I guess it’s my duty to learn to prepare this : ). Sharing with you all this sweet preparation.

A can of fruit can be transformed into a special fruit salad with very little effort. Here, lychees are enhanced with ginger and the zest and juice of fresh lime for a tropical flavour, then tossed with crisp apple, oranges and black grapes from the fruit bowl.
