This dish combines fresh spinach and paneer in a creamy curry. It is absolutely wonderful with basmati rice or naan. The key is in the spices.
It is the most famous mishti i.e. dessert in bengali cuisine. It is made out of pure chena, i.e. cottage cheese. It is healthy and particularly has a healing effect if eaten warm while having a stomach infection.
This is my mom's recent signature dish. I got to taste it when she came to visit me in this country. She cooked it for my friends and the dish got immensely popular. It is very gourmet in terms of taste and presentation.
Chanar daalna is a bengali preparation of paneer. It is light and ideal for lunch. In my family I have seen it made during lunch for special occasions, particularly for elders who do not eat meat or fish and also as prasad to be offered during a puja.
Palak Paneer is a recipe of UP and very popular in UP, Pujab and many parts of India. There is one thing in my recipe which makes it special. I add some heavy cream at the end and this adds a rich creamy taste to this recipe. Palak Paneer goes well with roti and naan.
