    This is an easy dal to make on a vegetarian night. It tastes good with rice and is my favourite Indian food! I look forward to my Tuesdays dal chawaal nights!

    This is my favourite family recipe! My kids don't eat channa daal so I cheat and mush up the entire contents in a mxie or with a hand blender so they don't know the difference! I make a whole pressure cooker of it and take it to work as a soup. It tastes good with either rice or roti as well.

    Use fresh mushrooms for this dish. They add a wonderfully concentrated flavour to this fast and easy dish. Serve with creamy pasta and a tender tomato salad. Delicious!

    Mutton marinated in herbs with lime and chillies. I like tender, boneless lamb meat for this dish. This is a traditional North African dish and is best served with couscous.
