Saucy Chicken

    Its one of the recipes which i cook over the weekends!!! It was given to me by one of my friend from Shillong. Its basic ingredients are sauces which are mostly found in our fridge. It gives a break from chopping and cutting of onions and tomatoes ;)

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 kg Chicken
    • 12 Garlic
    • 2 inch Garlic
    • 5 Green Chillies
    • 3 tspn Schezwan Sauce
    • 1 tspn Chillie Sauce
    • 4 tspn Dark Soy Sauce
    • 2 tspn Tomato Sauce
    • 2 Capsicum
    • Salt to Taste
    • 5 tbspn Oil
    • Handful of Mint leaves

    1. Take the clean chicken pieces in a bowl. Now make a coarse paste of ginger, garlic and green chillies and add to the chicken.
    2. Now add all the sauces, salt, 2 tbspn of oil, chopped mint leaves and let it marinate for 1 hr.
    3. Now heat the remaining oil in a wok. Once the oil is hot add the chicken. Cover it with the lid and let it cook for 30 min on slow flame.
    4. Now put the flame high and keep stirring it for about 15 min. This will add flavour and texture to the chicken.
    5. Slice the capsicum and add to the chicken. Cook for another 5 min.
    6. Garnish with remaining mint leaves.
