maha's pepper poha

    Hungry ? want to fix something easy and healthy poha made in a jiffy! My husband asks for it and before he can wash his hhands this is ready to eat! sooooo easy

    Serves: 2 

    • 1 tsp mustard and urad dal
    • 1cup poha
    • 1/2tsp pepper crushed
    • 1/2 tsp cumin crushed
    • 1 twig curry leaves
    • as per taste salt
    • 1 1/2 tsp oil

    1. Wash poha in running water in a colander, add salt and set aside.
    2. Heat oil in a kadhai(wok), add mustard seeds and urad dal,then the curry leaves, put the crushed pepper and cumin and immidieately add the washed poha and mix well,for a minute and remove from fire and serve hot.

    good one.. its quick and easy.. i cook this but never added pepper... i add to the semolina version of the same instead of poha  -  23 Feb 2011
