Dherosh or lady finger is a vegetable widely available in the Bengal. Its gluey texture makes this dish quite unique. This is a quick recipe as lady fingers do not take too long to cook. It is served with plain white rice.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the onion slices, green chillies and garlic paste.
Stir well and add the lady fingers, salt, turmeric powder and mustard paste. Mix the spices with the lady fingers and put the lid on for a few minutes. Take the lid off and stir again while adding 1 cup of water.
Put the lid back on and allow to cook for 10 minutes.
