Sujee Lachchar Shonpapri

    This is a subcontinental dry dessert. It is really good to eat, and is often made on special days, such as Eid mornings. Enjoy!

    • 1 cup of ghee
    • 2 cups of semolina (sujee)
    • 1 cup of condensed milk
    • 2 cups of Lachcha Shemai
    • Red and green food coloring.


    1. Heat a pan with ghee and add the semolina. Stir continuously and add the condensed milk and lachcha shemai. Stir well for a bit and put the lid on. Pour the mixture in 3 separate bowls when the shemai and semolina have been boiled.
    2. Add green food coloring in one of the bowls. Add the red food coloring to the other bowl. Leave the third bowl without any coloring.
    3. Grease a serving tray with ghee and pour the red mix. Layer it with the uncolored mix and add the green mix as the final layer.
    4. Allow the mixture to dry and become hard.
    5. Cut out some cubes and serve.
