Tetul Borhani (Tamarind Borhani)
Tetul Borhani is really easy and a bit more different than the borhanis served at weddings these days. The taste of tamarind really brings in an edge.

1/2 cup of tamarind extract
3 cups of Greek yoghurt ( tok doi)
1/2 cup of sugar
1.5 teaspoons of toasted cumin powder ( seeds that have been toasted on tawa and grinded into powder)
1 teaspoon of black salt
1 tablespoon of chopped green chilies
water-as needed to get preferred thickness ( borhani is usually thick)
crushed ice-as preferred
- Soak the tamarind pieces in water for 30 minutes and collect half cup of the extract by filtering the mixture through a sieve.
- Mix the Greek yoghurt ( tok doi) with sugar, cumin powder, black salt, green chili slices and water.
- Serve with crushed ice.
