Oats paneer tikki

    Innovative and healthy twist to usual aloo paneer tikki. Ingredients mentioned will be sufficient to make atleast 8 tikkis. Serve hot with cucumber and tomato salad and mint chutney.

    • 1 packet of curry and pepper saffola oats
    • 2 medium sized boiled potato
    • 1/2 cup grated carrot
    • 3/4 cup grated paneer
    • 1 cup of green peas boiled
    • few sprigs of mint
    • 2-3 green chillies
    • 2 tspn grated ginger
    • 1/2 cup of coriander leaves
    • 1 tspn chat masala
    • 1 tspn red chilly powder ( optional)
    • 1 tspn of ajwain seeds
    • salt to taste
    • oil for shallow frying tikkis


    1. firstly in a dry mixie grind the oats to make a fine powder.
    2. Now in the same mixie grind together coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, green chilles and green peas. It should be roughly ground and not made into a smooth paste
    3. Now in a mixing bowl add the ground oats and to this add the boiled potato (which has been grated), grated carrot, grated paneer and also the coriander-peas mixture.
    4. To this now add chat masala, ajwain and red chilly powder and 1 tspn of oil and mix throughly.
    5. Lightly wet hands and make 8 tikkis from this mixture.
    6. On a hot girdle place the tikkis and fry till golden brown on both sides.
    7. Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
