Mushroom sandwich

    This is a simple and quick way to have an afternoon snack with left over mushrooms. Serve with ketchup.

    Serves: 1 

    • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon haldi powder
    • salt as needed
    • ½ cup chopped mushrooms
    • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
    • 2 bread slices
    • 2 tablespoons chutney
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
    • 1 teaspoon tomato sauce

    1. Heat a pan with vegetable oil, add chopped onions, red chili powder, haldi powder, salt and mushrooms. Stir and mix well.
    2. Cook for 5 minutes.
    3. Now take a bread slice and spread some chutney, butter, mayonnaise and tomato sauce.
    4. Add a tablespoon of the mushroom-onions mixture. Cover it with another slice of bread.
    5. Grease a tawa with butter. Roast the sandwich until you get the preferred brown color of the bread.
