Bhendi for fast

    This is a Navratri based dish made from okra or lady fingers. The dish is very light and not spicy. Serve with rice or roti made especially for Navratri.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
    • 2 chopped green chilies
    • 3 cups chopped bhendi or lady fingers
    • 1 tablespoon roasted crushed peanuts
    • 2 teaspoons chopped coriander leaves
    • Salt as needed

    Directions

    1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and green chilies.
    2. Then add chopped bhendi and crushed peanuts. Mix well.
    3. Now add salt and cook until the bhendi becomes cooked and soft. Serve with fodni chi bhagar.
