Rava ladoo

    Rava or semolina ladoo is another traditional Maharashtran ladoo made in almost every auspicious festivals, like Diwali. Enjoy and share with family.

    Serves: 3 

    • 2 tablespoons ghee
    • 10-12 cashew nuts, chopped
    • 10 blanched almonds, chopped
    • 1 cup rava (semolina)
    • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 cups milk
    • 1 teaspoon elaychi or cardamom powder

    1. Heat a thick bottomed tawa with 1 tablespoon of ghee. Toast the cashews and almonds. Set aside.
    2. Add the rest of the ghee and rava. Stir and roast the rava on medium flame-do not allow the color to change. Transfer to a bowl, and allow to cool completely.
    3. Add sugar, milk and elaychi powder to the rava. Mix well.
    4. Now add the toasted nuts. Mix again, and make round shaped laddoos with your hand.
