    This is a Maharashtrian soup dish made from tomato puree, that has been seasoned with cumin seeds and curry leaves. Enjoy it warm, especially during winter.

    Serves: 2 

    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 2 to 3 curry leaves
    • 2 cups tomato puree
    • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
    • Salt as needed
    • ½ teaspoon pepper powder
    • 2 tablespoons sugar

    1. Heat a pan with oil. Add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Stir and add tomato puree. Then add red chili powder and salt.
    2. Allow the mixture to boil. Sprinkle pepper powder, stir and add sugar.
    3. Boil again for 10 more minutes.
    4. Serve warm.
