Methi thepala

    This is a Gujrati methi (fenugreek) based toasted bread, that can be served with curries or bhaji. Serve warm.

    Serves: 2 

    • 1 cup chopped methi (fenugreek leaves)
    • 1 cup wheat flour
    • 2 tablespoons jawar flour
    • 1 tablespoon besan
    • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • Salt as needed
    • ½ teaspoon carom seeds
    • Ghee to toast

    1. Mix all the ingredients together make dough, excluding the ghee.
    2. Then make quite thick chapattis of about 1/2 centimeter thickness out of it.
    3. Heat a tawa with ghee. Toast the chapattis on low flame.
