Vegetable kabab

    This is a great way to make vegetarian kababs, especially for grand occasions like weddings or parties. Serve with biryanis or naan.

    Serves: 3 

    • 1 teaspoon green chili paste
    • 2 tablespoons besan
    • ½ teaspoon ginger paste
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon chopped coriander leaves
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
    • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
    • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
    • 2 tablespoons grated carrot
    • 2 tablespoons grated cabbage
    • 2 tablespoons boiled and mashed potato
    • 2 tablespoons grated lauki (bottle gourd)
    • Salt as needed
    • ½ teaspoon garlic paste
    • Vegetable oil for frying on tandoor

    1. Mix all the ingredients together, excluding the oil.
    2. Take small portions of the mixture in your greased palm, and make flat medium sized patty or kabab. Repeat for the rest of the mixture.
    3. Heat a tandoor with oil. Toast the kababs until dark brown.
