Kuldache shengole

    This is a winter special recipe, that is bound to give you a much needed comfort!

    Serves: 3 

    • 1 cup kulid flour
    • 2 tablespoons besan
    • Salt as needed
    • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
    • Water as needed
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
    • ½ teaspoon haldi powder

    1. Make dough using kuladacha flour, 1 tablespoon of besan, salt and 1 teaspoon red chili powder.
    2. Take a small portion of the dough in your greased palm, and roll it out into a long rope like string of ½ centimeter diameter. Cut the string in small segments and join the ends of each segment to make small rings as big as coins. Set aside these rings.
    3. Now for gravy take oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, 1 tablespoon of besan, red chili powder, haldi powder, 2 cups of water and salt. Stir and allow the mixture to boil. After about 5 minutes, add the small rings and boil until the rings become soft.
    4. Serve warm.
